MADRC presentation at the ALI board meetingOn Monday August 25, at the ALI Board meeting, the Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC) was invited to discuss the activities of the center and present their vision for partnering with community groups. Bruno Giordani, associate director of MADRC, provided an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and outlined some of the latest research about memory loss in a fascinating 40-minute presentation. The center is building community partnerships with organizations such as ALI with a goal of expanding research awareness on memory and aging. The group also provides information about upcoming events such as a Memory Screening being offered on November 8, 2008 and opportunities for ALI members to be involved in current research studies about memory. One way that MADRC can help ALI meet our mission is to offer experts who can teach educational courses on such topics as Understanding Memory Loss, Brain Health, and Updates on Alzheimer’s Research. Watch for at least one of these course offerings to be coming your way during the Winter/Spring 2009 term. Fee Schedule
